Scope & Checklist

Ontario Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews
Does It Need a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review?
In Ontario, new or modified equipment often needs a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review, a report signed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer, before it runs. Typically, if an engineering review is required, it happens very early in the equipment purchase process, working alongside your machinery dealer or OEM. We are not the engineer who seals it, but we flag when one is triggered, coordinate the P.Eng review, and do the mechanical, guarding and interlock work to pass it, so commissioning and compliance move together.
