Grille, Shutter and Options
Grille, Perforated or Solid?
The choice comes down to how much you want to see through the closed opening, and how much security the contents call for. Each rolls into a compact overhead coil.
Open Grille
See-through aluminum or stainless links, spaced close for high security or open for visibility, keep the display, light and sightlines while locked. It is the retail favourite for malls, pharmacies and display storefronts.
Perforated Shutter
A near-solid slat with punched holes that stops entry but still allows light, airflow and security camera access through the closed shutter.
Solid Shutter
Interlocking solid slats for a full after-hours lockdown, with weather and privacy protection where seeing in does not matter.
Operation and Finish
Manual or motorized operation, powder coated or anodized finishes, and optional after-hours branding on the shutter face.
Fire-Rated Shutter
UL-labelled rolling shutters that close on their own in a fire, released by a fusible link or the building alarm, inspected and drop tested annually per NFPA 80.
